Dorothy L. Mills, 81, of Wayne went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Rev. Larry Blankenship & Rev. Laddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mills Cemetery, Wayne. She was born on January 19, 1931 to the late Dewey Rowe & Rhoda Robertson Rowe. She was a retired floral designer for Wayne Florist and was a member of Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her brothers Douglas, Don and Frank Rowe and one sister Sylvia Rowe Clark. She is survived by her loving husband Bryan “Shorty” Mills, one daughter Christine (Verlin) Wooten of Proctorville, Ohio; one son Roy Lewis of Wayne, WV; one sister Freda (Frank) Moon of Genoa, WV; three brothers: Dewie (Marie) Rowe, Jr of Wayne, Flem (Christine) Rowe of Huntington, WV and Clyde Rowe of Genoa, WV and five grandchildren: Roy Lewis, Jr., Renee Lewis, Burl (Punkie) Wooten, Tina (Tony) Wells and Matthew Wooten. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren. Special thanks to niece and caregiver Pam (Rowe) Black and caregivers Rosie Webb and Eva Maynard. Special thanks to niece Joy Pelfrey and to the ER and 2 North Tower nursing staff of Cabell Huntington Hospital for all of their care.
