Carroll McGinnis Earp

Carroll McGinnis “Carroll Mack” Earp, 82, of Lavalette, WV, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Emogene Dolan Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June23, 2012 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, by Pastor Mark Booth. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. He was born August 8, 1929 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Marcus Avery Earp, II and Addie Lenore McGinnis Earp. Carroll Mack was the owner of Earp Construction Company and was a member of the Florence Memorial United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge # 18, AF & AM, which will conduct graveside rites. He also was a member of the Chapter in Wayne, York Rite in Huntington, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Huntington, and the El Hasa Shrine. His wife, Clyda Lou Hager Earp also preceded him in death, along with a brother, Marcus Avery Earp, III. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Lou Powell (Philip Dain); two sons, James Carroll Earp and Charles McGinnis Earp (Molly), all of Lavalette, WV; a sister-in-law, Joyce Earp of Hedgesville, WV; 9 grandchildren, Parker James Earp, Daniel James Earp (Mendy), Eric Steven Phelps, Garan Michael Powell, Lindsey Ruggles (Joey), Katie Hollatz (Ben), Tyler Kes, Danielle Gribble and Zachary Gribble; and a great-grandchild, Danya Earp. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Morris Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
